Use the Raise/Lower ON button to ensure that TegraForce-5 is

fully raised.
Push the black button on the TegraForce-5.

Insert the specimen mover plate and rotate it until the three pins

are aligned and then push the specimen mover plate upwards
until it locks in position.
Release the black button on the TegraForce-5 and ensure that

the specimen mover plate is securely fixed.
TegraForce-5 is equipped with an automatic alignment mechanism
taking care of the fine alignment of the head relative to the
preparation disc. It ensures that when the TegraForce-5 head is
lowered, it returns to its previous position. To change the alignment
of the head:
With a specimen mover plate or specimen holder fitted, press

the Raise/Lower button to lower the head.
Push the entire head sideways (left or right) until it is aligned

correctly. The specimens should be positioned as close to the
edge of the preparation disc as possible, in fact they may extent
over the edge by 2-3 mm.

The automatic alignment is only a fine alignment of the TegraForce-5. It has
to be positioned in approximately the correct position, max. ± 20° from the
IMPORTANT!
