Error codes
The Swiss LithoClast Select System provides an error code system in case of malfunction or incorrect handling. The code is made of two blocks of characters like

. On the display, the code is on the left for ultrasound, on the right for pneumatics, and is split left-right for general. Codes of the A type disappear with
the cause. The B type code must be confirmed following solution by pressing and releasing the foot pedal. The ultrasound duty cycle must be at 100% for the
error message to be detected.

Loss of ultrasound effectiveness, the control unit cannot adjust the
resonance frequency. The handpiece is loose or not connected, the

ultrasound probe is damaged or untightened.
Ultrasound efficiency is not stable. The resonance frequency is lost
(similar to code Er 23 but this code does not come up because the
Er 24
ultrasound functions intermittently).
Ultrasound Internal power supply failure.
Er 30 B

Internal working pressure is not in the specified range.
Input pressure can be too high or too low.
Pneumatic Activation of the pneumatic pulses is stopped.

cause/description solution
Pay attention not to press a foot pedal when switching on the unit.
Check that nothing pushes on or impair the normal functioning of the
pedal. If failure persists call BSC customer service.
Pay attention not to press a push button when switching on the unit.
If failure persists call BSC customer service.
Please proceed as follows:
1 Verify that the ultrasound probe is tightened,
2 Press the foot pedal to try again,
3 If the error appears again, replace the probe,
4 Press the foot pedal to try again,
5 If the error appears again, reduce the ultrasound power to 80 %,
6 Press the foot pedal to try again,
7 If the error persists, Replace the ultrasound handpiece,
8 Press the foot pedal to try again,
9 If the error is still present, call BSC customer service.
Error codes Er 23 and Er 24 can be single events that do not matter.
If this happens again (each 2.5 seconds as long as the ultrasound
pedal is pressed down), the probe or the handpiece must be replaced.
Turn the device off, then on again. If failure persists call BSC customer
service.
1 Verify and adjust the air pressure according to the value specified on
the identification plate on the unit back panel.
2 Reduce working pressure using the pneumatic rotary knob. Press the
foot pedal to try again.
3 Do not increase pressure beyond 100 % again. If the error is still
present, call BSC customer service.
