2.4.2 Adjusting the counterweight for the designated
loading
The CERTOMAT® CTplus is preconfigured for a load of
10 kg on delivery. If the designated load varies, you
must readjust the counterweight. This allows vibrations
that arise during operation to be minimized.
1. Weigh the fully fitted tray with all shaker vessels.
2. Switch the CERTOMAT® CTplus off at the main switch.
3. To adjust the counterweight to the load with the
adjusting tool, fold down the front flap below both of
the glass doors. The front flap is fixed by magnets.
The adjusting tool is located behind this flap.
4. Rotate the shaker table by hand to the furthest rear
position.
5. Block the drive of the shaker table by inserting the
provided Allen key through the drill hole of the
shaker table (Fig. 6, Item 4). Move the shaker table
briefly back and forth until the drive is completely
blocked.

the front flap in the housing onto the axle of the
counterweight (2);
7. Rotate the counterweight inwards in a clockwise
direction using the adjusting tool (for load <10 kg) or
outwards in a counterclockwise direction (load >10kg).
- The counterweight setting required for a specific load
is marked on the adjusting tool.
8. Remove the Allen key and the adjusting tool and close
the front flap.
9. Install the fitted tray.
10. Switch the CERTOMAT® CTplus on again.
Shaker only starts if both doors are properly closed!
11. Test for quiet running at your required shaker speed.
12. If readjustment is necessary, stop the shaker, switch off
the CERTOMAT® CTplus, remove the tray and repeat
steps 3-11.
