ENVISAGED USE AND FIELD OF APPLICATION

The R1-24 unit is designed to operate automatic gates with 1 or 2 wings.
The motorised wings must be fi tted with mechanical limit switches on the ground for both opening and closing. Alternatively
the operators can be fi tted with electromagnetic limit switches.
You should note the operating restrictions specifi ed in the installation manual supplied with your operator.
Information
Only use the product for the permitted uses specifi ed. Do not use the product for purposes other than those
specifi ed.
Do not tamper with or modify the product.
The product must only be installed using APRIMATIC material.

INSTALLATION AND CONNECTING UP

To install the unit box using screws suitable for the material of the support (pillar, wall, etc).
Installation personnel must perform electrical installation after mechanical installation.
Installation consists of the following steps:

CONNECTING UP TO 230 V MAINS POWER SUPPLY
START-UP of the SYSTEM with SELF-TEACH
RECOGNITION of REMOTE CONTROL UNITS (programmable before or after self-teach process).
FUNCTIONING TESTS AND ADJUSTMENTS
BASIC and ADVANCED PROGRAMMING and RESET
2.1
ELECTRIC SYSTEM SET-UP
Before you install components you should prepare the electrical connections of the control and safety devices of the
system. Follow the instructions given on the "System installation diagram" in the instruction manual supplied with your
operator. Follow the instructions given in this manual and the instructions given on components already installed.

Warning
The system must only be installed by skilled personnel qualifi ed in compliance with the
regulations of the country of installation (CEI 64 - 8 / EN 60335-1 standards).
2.2
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Switch OFF the mains power supply before you start connecting up.
Make the connections as shown in Fig.2. Check that the cables are connected to the correct inputs. Check that the
minimum cable section is as specifi ed.

Warning
Faulty connections can cause equipment operating faults and may seriously damage the equipment.
Failure to connect up the equipment correctly will void your guarantee. Do NOT use intercom or telephone cable.
IMPORTANT: Complete all connections and checks before you connect up to the 230 V AC mains power
supply.
The equipment must be earthed. Connect the earth to the earth terminals.
2.3

CONNECTING UP TO THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY

POWER SUPPLY - 230 V AC MONOPHASE 50 Hz.
Use a power supply cable with 3 wires and a minimum section of 1.5 mm
regulations. Choose the section of the cable to match the length of the line.
IMPORTANT ! Always install, upstream of the line, a mains switch which guarantees a multipole cut-off with
minimum contact opening of 3 mm (connect it to a 6 A differential overload switch with sensitivity of 30 mA).
When the unit is connected to the mains power supply for the fi rst time the letters
indicate that the self-teach process must be performed (see relevant section).
