Semiautomatic OPEN/CLOSE: operating is semiautomatic (see above) with the difference
that the OPEN (Start) and CLOSE inputs are separate. An OPEN (Start) pulse during
closing commands reopening. The CLOSE command during opening commands closing.
Dead man: this operating mode requires the physical presence of a person. The input of
terminal 12 assumes the "close" input function. To open, press the start push-button
and hold it down (opening input). When the push-button is released, the movement
stops. To close, press the close push-button and hold it down; if the photocells are
obscured, the device blocks movement: in this case, the operator must release the
push-buttons and press either open or close. This is also the case if the two push-
buttons are pressed at the same time.
DIP-SWITCH 3: selection of input 12. This DIP-SWITCH is used to select the function
of input 12 (terminal board K2) as an ADDITIONAL OPENING SAFETY DEVICE or as
CLOSE.
DIP-SWITCH 4: pre-flashing selection. This DIP-SWITCH is used to enable or disable
pre-flashing. It can be selected both during opening and closing. If the function is enabled,
before the automation starts opening or closing, the warning light and the flasher will be
enabled for 3 seconds before the it starts.
DIP-SWITCH 5: reverse stroke. This DIP-SWITCH is used to enable or disable the
reverse stroke at the end of the closing cycle, a procedure which "discharges" the up-
and-over door panel of any voltage which has accumulated during stopping against the
mechanical limit switch. Do not use with the Area barrier, AT64, AT62 and AT60. Switch
to the OFF position.
DIP-SWITCH 6: 1 or 2 motor selection. Makes it possible to optimise the performance
of the anti-crush and slowdown controls with an operator that has 1 or 2 motors.
After selecting the functioning mode and times, check the external devices connected to
the card.

4.1 CHECKING THE FUNCTIONING OF EXTERNAL DEVICES

Start input- N.O. type contact which supplies the start pulse to the automation
Stop input - N.C. safety contact which has priority in all states and functions. If the stop
input is given, the device blocks the up-and-over door immediately and it only starts up
again when the start push-button is pressed: this closes the automation. When the stop
input is given, the device ignores all the commands.
Photocell input - N.C. safety contact which is only enabled during closing. If the photocell
is obscured, the automation stops for 1 second and the up-and-over door then re-open
until the work time expires. When the up-and-open door is open and the photocells are
obscured, the photocells block closing.
Opening safety photocell/closing command input– The function of this input (terminal
n. 12) depends on the setting of DIP-SWITCH 3. The following is a list of the possible
functions:
Opening safety device input – A safety device input which is enabled during
opening or closing. When the input is enabled, the up-and-over door stops
immediately. When the input is disabled, it continues to move in the same direction
as before. This function can be used to protect the areas where crushing may
occur.
Closing command input – Input which is only enabled when the Dead Man and
Semiautomatic OPEN/CLOSE modes are selected. It closes the automation when
the close push-button is pressed and held down.
Warning light output - 24VDC output with maximum load of 3W, which commands the
up-and-over door state warning light. Light OFF: up-and-over door closed. Steady light:
up-and-over door open or opening. Flashing light: up-and-over door closing.
Flashing light output - 24 V output which commands the flashing light.
This output commands the flashing light with a pulsating power supply with frequency
of 1 Hz: the light is ON for 0.5 seconds and OFF for 0.5 sec. If pre-flashing is enabled,
this output is enabled 3 seconds before the command to move the up-and-over door
(opening and closing).
NOTE - Only use Aprimatic ET Series LED flashing lights to avoid a fault with the output
which will cause incorrect functioning of the entire system.
