PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS (PARAMETERS section 4)
Mode - Automation functioning mode.
Pre-fl ashing time - pre-fl ashing time is set by default at 3 seconds so that the fl ashing light is switched ON before the
gate starts to move.
WARNING: if the fl ashing light is not used then the pre-fl ashing function must be disabled by setting it to 0 seconds.
Pedestrian gate opening - the PEDESTRIAN START pulse (triggered using button 2 or remote control unit causes
partial opening of a single wing.
Electric lock enable time - the time required to enable the electric lock to unlock the gate can be set.
Advance electric lock enable - the time required to enable the electric lock can be set.
Reverse stroke time: the opening stroke is preceded by a brief stroke in the opposite direction to remove the load
from the wing and facilitate electric lock release. This time can be set.
IMPORTANT: You must enable the short reverse stroke if the gate is fi tted with an electric lock.
Obstacle masking time at start-up - for a brief period (programmable parameter) the obstacle sensitivity function is
inhibited to enable the motors to exceed the thrust limit set when movement starts.
Reverse time at end of movement -at the end of gate closing the motors are run in the opposite direction for a brief
period (programmable parameter) to discharge the mechanisms when movement is complete.
Start ramp incline - time required for the wing to reach cruising speed (programmable parameter).
Slowing ramp incline - time required to slow the wing from cruising speed to approach speed.
Non-reversible motors when stopped - the motors can be short circuited and thus rendered non-reversible when
the gates are closed.
Closing after photocell - when the photocell is uncovered closing can take place either immediately, when the pause
time has elapsed, after 10 seconds or following a new pause time.
Emergency functioning with batteries - if the mains power supply fails movement is slower and the fl ashing light
fl ashes more quickly. The operations to be performed by the automation using the emergency batteries can be set.
Flashing light ON during pause time - in automatic modes the fl ashing light can be set to remain ON during the opening pause.
Wing 1 delay during closing: there is a delay on wing 1 at the beginning of closing thus setting the closing angle
already performed by wing 2.
Wing 2 delay during opening: there is a delay on wing 2 at the beginning of opening thus setting the opening angle
already performed by wing 1.
Pause time - delay when the gates are open before automatic closing is performed (automatic modes).
Power (thrust force on obstacle) - when this parameter is increased the thrust force which can be applied to any obstacles
is increased. This causes reduced sensitivity of the system to recognise any obstacles using detection of variations in
the current absorbed during movement (remember: obstacle recognition
!
Warning
If the power must be increased so that sensitivity to obstacles is reduced to the minimum
level to be able to move the wing then further obstacle detection devices e.g. photocells, safety edges, etc. must
be installed on the basis of careful risk analysis.
Wing movement speed (cruising speed) - opening and closing speed are equal and can be programmed as a proportion
of maximum speed.
Approach speed - wing speed reduction on approach to the mechanical stops or limit switches during opening and/or
closing so the gate stops without violent impact.
Approach distance - the distance from the stop or limit switch at which reduced speed begins.
Manned functioning - (if enabled) a START pulse of more than 5 seconds enables the gate to be operated. When the
START button is released the operating mode set is restored.
Total operations counter - the total number of operations performed by the operator can be displayed - the counter
is reset every 100 operations.

SAFE USE

SAFE use is required following the situations listed below.
Gate released and moved by hand following a mains power failure.
Mains power failure when the gate is not closed.
Obstacle detection when safety edge or detection threshold triggered during opening.
The fi rst gate movement after one of the above situations has arisen requires a START pulse and occurs in SAFE mode i.e.
at REDUCED SPEED with the FLASHING LIGHT PERMANENTLY ON and with movement taking place one wing at a time.
This mode is also set for the next few operations to enable the gate to be realigned in a recognisable position until the
automation has performed a complete closing cycle.
gate stops and movement locked).
