Properties/Mode of action
Lymphatrex Essential devices provide compression by applying pressure to
the limb; they thus promote lymph circulation, help prevent edema formation
and maintain its volume.
They are available in multiple AFNOR compression classes:
• Class 2 (15-20 mmHg)
• Class 3 (20-36 mmHg)
Indications
- Treatment of acute or chronic edema (for example: primary or secondary
lymphedema of the upper or lower limbs).
- Class 2: additional treatment for the lymphedema maintenance phase.
- Class 3: during the maintenance phase, after initial reduction of the affected
limb, to maintain the reduced volume.
- Symptomatic treatment of lipedema.
Contraindications
Do not use in case of major dermatological conditions on an affected limb.
Do not use in the event of known allergy to any of the components.
Do not use in the event of phlegmasia cerulea dolens (painful blue edema with
arterial compression) of the affected limb.
Do not use in the event of septic thrombosis.
Specific to the lower limbs:
Do not use in the event of advanced diabetic microangiopathy (for compression
> 30 mmHg).
Do not use in the event of decompensated heart failure.
Do not use in case of lower limb peripheral arterial disease (PAD) with ankle-
brachial index (ABI) < 0.6.
Do not use in case of extra-anatomical bypass of the affected limb.
Specific to the upper limbs:
Do not use in case of brachial plexus pathology.
Do not use in case of vasculitis of the extremities.
Precautions
Strictly comply with your healthcare professional's prescription and
recommendations for use.
The risk/benefit ratio and the adequate level of pressure must be regularly
re-assessed by a healthcare professional in the event of:
• PAD with ABPI between 0.6 and 0.9
• Advanced peripheral neuropathy
• Weeping or eczematous dermatitis.
These compression devices are designed to be worn during the day.
In the event of discomfort, significant restriction, pain, variation in limb volume,
deterioration of skin condition, infection, unusual sensations, change in the
colour of the extremities, or changes in the performance of the product,
remove the product and seek the advice of a healthcare professional.
Do not apply the product directly to an open wound without a dressing.
Due to the constant evolution of the pathology, regular follow-up with a
healthcare professional is recommended to check that the compression device
is still suitable for the pathology.
For some pathologies (or situations) such as venous thrombosis, the device
must be used in combination with an anticoagulant treatment; consult a
healthcare professional for advice.
In the event of lipedema, compression can be used to help relieve the
symptoms. Seek advice from a healthcare professional for compression and
other solutions for managing lipedema.
Do not use products on the skin (creams, ointments, oils, gels, patches...)
before applying the device, it could damage the product.
Take care not to damage the device with your nails when fitting it.
Ensure that the anti-slip system can be applied to healthy undamaged skin.
Do not use when swimming.
The use of a medical device by a child, should be done under the supervision
of an adult or a healthcare professional.
For hygiene, safety and performance reasons, do not reuse the product for
another patient.

Seek advice from a healthcare professional.
Achieving the necessary pressure may require the overlaying of several
compression devices.
Putting on the armsleeve, armsleeve with mitten, armsleeve with glove:
• Place your hand inside the garment ❶ and turn it back on itself to the hand
opening. ❷
• Place your hand inside the garment, then carefully slide it over the limb to

(mitten). ❸
• Avoid pulling the garment more than is necessary.
• Adjust the garment to ensure there are no wrinkles along the length of the
limb.
• Once the garment is properly in place, massage the limb to ensure uniform
compression. ❹
Putting on below-knee, thigh-high and tights :
• Place your hand inside the garment and turn it back on itself to the heel ❺
• Slip your foot into the garment until the heel is correctly positioned. ❻
• Carefully slide the garment over the limb to below the knee (below-knee),

• Avoid pulling the garment more than is necessary.
• Adjust the garment to ensure there are no wrinkles along the length of the
limb.
• Thigh-high or below-knee with anti-slip system: when putting on the
garment, be careful not to grip the anti-slip part to avoid any damage.
• Once the garment is properly in place, massage the limb to ensure uniform
compression. ❽
