Danger of electric shock; fire hazard! Before cleaning, care and maintenance
work, stop the appliance and wait until it has cooled down. Disconnect all loads
from the appliance. Engine switch and fuel tap to OFF.
General cleaning and care
• Clean all external surfaces of the appliance regularly with a damp cloth.
• Rub the surfaces dry.
• If there are dirt particles in inaccessible places, especially in ventilation slots and
cooling fins, blow the appliance free with blasts of compressed air.
• Check whether moving parts are working properly and are not jammed, whether
parts are broken or damaged.
Measure oil level
Never turn the oil filler plug with connected dipstick into the thread when reading the
oil level. This leads to an incorrect measurement result, Fig. 7.
Figure 7
• Bring the device into a horizontal position.
• Unscrew the oil filler plugs with connected dipstick, Fig. 9.
• Wipe the dipstick with a lint-free cloth.
• Immerse the dipstick completely in the oil. Never turn the dipstick into the thread, Fig.

• Remove the dipstick again.
• Read the oil level, see also Fig. 10.
