• Keep your work area clean. Clear the workplace of obstacles. Ensure that the
workplace is adequately lit. Untidy and poorly lit workplaces increase the risk of
injury.
• Place the appliance on a level and fireproof surface that can support the weight of
the appliance. Always ensure that the appliance is standing firmly and securely.
• Before working with the appliance, check that it is functioning properly. Do not use a
device with a defective switch. Defective devices can endanger your safety and the
safety of others.
• Use the appliance, accessories and tools in accordance with these instructions.
Take into account the working conditions and the activity to be carried out. Using
the appliance for applications other than those for which it is intended can lead to
dangerous situations.
• Keep unused appliances and their tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow
persons who are not familiar with the appliance or have not read the instructions to
use it. The appliance is dangerous if used by inexperienced persons. Children and
animals must keep a minimum distance of 10 m from the operating area.
• Observe the noise protection regulations when using the appliance in residential
areas.
Electrical safety
• The appliance generates enough electricity that there is a risk of fatal electric shock if
live parts are touched if it is used incorrectly.
• If you want to extend the connecting cable, only use extension cables that are
suitable for outdoor use. This measure reduces the risk of electric shock.
• Never use the connecting cable for any other purpose than to carry or hang up the
appliance or to pull the plug out of the socket.
• Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving appliance parts.
• Never pinch, kink, crush or knot the cable under the appliance. Always roll out the
cable completely. Never immerse the cable in water or other liquids. Damaged, wet
or entangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
• Never expose the device to rain, snow, moisture or humidity. Only use the appliance
when all connections are dry and secure. Ingress of water into and onto the
appliance increases the risk of electric shock.
• Avoid contact with earthed parts such as pipes, radiators, stoves and refrigeration
units. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
• Never overload the appliance. Use the devices intended for this purpose for your
work. Work better and more safely in the specified power range.
