16.1 Changing the blade (30) (Fig. 24)
WARNING
There is a risk of injury if you work with a
damaged blade.
Wear protective gloves!
For safety reasons you should only ever have your
blade sharpened and balanced by an authorised
specialist workshop. For optimum results it is rec-
ommended that the blade should be inspected
once a year.
When changing the blade, only use original spare
parts.
1. Empty the fuel tank (13) with a fuel extraction pump
(not included in the scope of delivery) before remov-
ing the cutting edge. Never tip the lawnmower to the
side or forwards with a full fuel or oil tank!
This will damage the engine and void the warranty.
2. Hold the blade (30) tightly with one hand.
3. Turn the blade screw (31) anticlockwise using a
open-end spanner AF17 (not included in the scope
of delivery) from the engine spindle (33). Remove
the washer (32).
4. Re-install the new blade (30) in reverse order. Fasten
the blade screw (31) properly. Make sure that the
blade (30) is correctly positioned and flush against
the engine spindle (33).
5. The tightening torque of the blade screw (31) is
45Nm. Also replace the blade screw (31) when re-
