Version 125: Checking the electrolyte level
monthly
Without removing either the passenger's seat or the battery, you can
check the MIN. and MAX. level of battery liquid through the opening (A - fig.
41) in the helment compartment.
•
The level of electrolyte must be checked frequently and must also
reach maximum level. If not, use only distilled water to top up.
If you have to add distilled water too frequently, have the vehicle's
electrical equipment checked by an Authorised Malaguti Service
Centre: the battery may be working overloaded and this will cause
damage in the long run.

Long term storage
In the event of long term storage of the vehicle, the battery must be periodi-
cally recharged. Batteries tend to run flat after three years of storage.
Battery recharging
Batteries must be recharged with current equal to 1/10 of the battery's
rated capacity (Version 250cc.: approx. 1,2 A - Version 125cc.: approx.
0,9 A) and for no longer than 8 hours running. It is recommended to have
this operation done by an Authorised Malaguti Service Centre.
