350 ml red wine,
40 ml orange juice,
70 ml water, 80 g sugar,
1 tbsp. lemon juice,
2 cloves, 1 whole cinnamon,
peel from 1 orange
Make mulled wine in a saucepan – slowly
heat all ingredients until the sugar is
completely dissolved, boil for 2 to 3
minutes, set aside, strain and leave to cool.
Prepare granita in the ice cream maker,
transfer into a suitable container and put
into the freezer for several hours. Serve
granita in a cocktail glass in the form
of a fi ne crystalline mixture scraped
from the surface of the frozen mixture
using a fork.
