If gas protection is used, the gas flow must be set between 12 l and 15 l/min.
Note: In the case of aluminum welding, it is possible to use pure argon (Ar) to replace the argon-helium mixture at 30%
(ArHe30%). Similarly, in the case of steel welding (Fe or FeCu), it is possible to use pure argon (Ar) to replace
the 8% argon-CO² mixture (ArCO² 8%). In these two cases, the Synergies welding parameters are no longer gua-
ranteed, and it may be necessary to switch to Manual Mode (see §8.2).
Do not exceed 5 Nm for tightening a fitting at the gas inlet of the equipment.

5.4. CHOICE OF WELDING ACCESSORY

The choice of the welding accessory to use is determined according to the type of insert to be welded (type, dimen-
sions, material), the welding position, and the adequate protection (gas, without gas and ceramic ferrule) . The table
below gives help in choosing this accessory.
