8.1.2. BACKING PLATE THICKNESS
Thickness displayed in millimeters.
To increase or decrease the thickness of the plate to which the insert will be welded, press the D and D- keys.
The thickness ranges that can be selected are related to the type, size and material of the part to be welded.
If the thickness of the plate is less than that displayed on the screen, the support plate may undergo a deformation at
the level of the weld.
When the station displays
synergy.
If this pictogram does not appear, then the maximum thickness of the sheet has been reached. Beyond this thickness,
the welding of the added part is no longer guaranteed.
Note 1: When a rivet extraction rod synergy is chosen, the thickness changes (pictogram
diameter of the rivet head in millimetres.
Note 2: When switching from Synergic mode to Manual mode, all the welding parameters (currents, times, heights, etc.)
associated with the synergy are transferred to Manual mode. This makes it possible to fine-tune the settings of
the station if the selected synergy does not correspond to the expected result (welding too much, or not enough,
energy).

8.2. WELDING IN MANUAL MODE

In Manual Mode, the times, currents, lifting height of the insert and activation of the digital spring are to be entered by
the user.
On the Manual Mode main screen are displayed:
1 - Arc time in milliseconds (see § 4)
2 - The arc current (see § 4)
3 - "Prog" followed by the number is displayed in the case of a saved welding configuration (see §8.4.3).
4 - A message zone specifying the state the product is in (see § 8.3)
