The product has synergic and manual operating modes, as well as a means to save and recall welding configurations.
When powered up, the ArcPull350 resumes the operating mode it was in when it was last shut down.
The change of mode (Manual or Synergic) and the welding configuration recall are done via the Main Menu.
8.1. WELDING IN SYNERGIC MODE
In Synergic Mode, the height of the arc, the times and currents of the different welding phases are determined automa-
tically by the product. A synergy is therefore defined by a type of part to be welded, its material, its gaseous protection,
its size and the support plate.
The type of gas to be used is displayed on the screen. In the event of incorrect gun polarity, a message appears on
the screen and the Fault LED (red), on the gun, flashes.
The different welding parameters are established for the inserts sold by GYS.
These synergies remain valid for longer added parts (see §5.4) as long as they are of the same type and
material as those sold by GYS (according to ISO 13918).
The synergies of the aluminum inserts (excluding pulling rings) were established on support sheets preheated to a
temperature of 50-60°C.
It is recommended to carry out a few preliminary welding tests on a suicide support plate, in order to ensure that the
weld holds well.
