Operation
Figure 5-41 OPTIMISATION "OP.6"
(second measuring run with tyre)
— Rotate the wheel into marking position following the
arrows.
— In this position mark the tyre, on the outer side of
the wheel, precisely above the chuck.
— Confi rm by pressing the key 26.
The OPTIMISATION "OP.7" may be displayed (Fig.
5-43).
Alternatively the indication H1may appear
-
If (H1 appears, Fig. 5-42), further optimisation is not
recommended since the measurement values which
activate the optimisation recommendation are below
the pre-set limit value.
However, it is possible to continue optimisation so as
to improve silent running conditions even for values
below the limit value (critical vehicle).
To continue optimisation:
— Continue as shown on screen OPTIMISATION OP
"OP.7" (Fig. 5-43).
To abort optimisation:
— Press the STOP key to return to the balancing
program and balance the wheel according to the
F
readings
5.8.
Figure 5-43 OPTIMISATION "OP.7"
— On the tyre changer, turn the tyre with respect to
the rim until the valve is aligned with the mark made
on the tyre.
— Confi rm by pressing the key 26.
The OPTIMISATION "OP.8" screen is displayed (Fig.
5-44).
Figure 5-44 OPTIMISATION "OP.8"
(third measuring run with tyre)
— Clamp the wheel on the balancer.
— Rotate the wheel until the valve is exactly
perpendicular to and above the chuck.
— Confi rm the valve position by pressing the key 26.
