1.6 Skid landing gear

Like the full-size helicopter, the model can be fitted with a skid landing gear as a scale
alternative to a working retract system. The process of building the version of this helicopter
with the skid landing gear is the same as that for the version with retractable undercarriage, with
the following exceptions:
• None of the undercarriage parts are needed, and no cut-outs in the underside of the
fuselage are required for the undercarriage.
• The wooden parts A5, A6, A8, A15, A16, A17 and A18 are not required.
• The skid landing gear consists of the skid tubes (4615.3) and the skid bars (4454.14), which
are mounted on the underside of the fuselage using the bottom mechanics retaining screws.
