BOND Ready-to-Use ISH
RNA Negative Control Probe
Catalog No: PB0809
Intended Use
This reagent is for in vitro diagnostic use.
RNA Negative Control Probe is intended for use in the identification of background staining resulting from non-specific interactions in
formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue by in situ hybridization (ISH) using the automated BOND system (includes Leica BOND-MAX
system and Leica BOND-III system).
The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies and proper controls and
should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
Summary and Explanation
RNA Negative Control Probe is a single oligonucleotide, designed from zebra fish DNA and analysed using Basic Local Alignment
Search Tool (BLAST) analysis to confirm that the sequence bears no homology with any human sequences. The RNA Negative Control
Probe is generated with a fluorescein label using the same procedures as applied to other oligonucleotide probes used in the detection
of RNA on BOND. Therefore, RNA Negative Control Probe is ideal as a negative control probe for RNA ISH on BOND.
Reagents Provided
RNA Negative Control Probe is a fluorescein-conjugated oligonucleotide probe supplied in hybridization solution.
Total volume = 5.5 mL
Dilution and Mixing
RNA Negative Control Probe is ready to use. Reconstitution, mixing, dilution or titration of this reagent is not required.
Materials Needed but not Provided
Refer to "Using BOND Reagents" in your BOND user documentation for a complete list of materials required for specimen treatment and
in situ hybridization staining using the BOND system (includes Leica BOND-MAX system and Leica BOND-III system).
Storage and Stability
Store at 2–8 °C. The product is stable under these conditions up to the expiry date indicated on the container label.
There are no obvious signs indicating contamination and/or instability. Appropriate positive and negative tissue controls should be run at
the same time as test tissue.
Return to 2–8 °C immediately after use.
Storage conditions other than those specified above must be verified by the user
Precautions
This product is intended for in vitro diagnostic use.

medical advice.
Consult Federal, State or local regulations for disposal of any potentially toxic components.
Minimize microbial contamination of reagents or an increase in non-specific staining may occur.
Retrieval, incubation times or temperatures other than those specified may give erroneous results. Any such change must be
validated by the user.
