Locking the inverted tooth chain

Inverted tooth chain damage from incorrect pin
arrangement!
Incorrect pin arrangement causes uneven running, which can
cause the inverted tooth chain to break.

Ensure that the lock pivots and rolling pivots are arranged as
shown in Table 8.

The locking procedure depends on the lock type. The following
instructions describe the procedures for rivet pin locks, double
rivet pin locks, split pin locks, double split pin locks and laser-
welded locks.
For some inverted tooth conveyor chains, you must fill the
empty space between the plates with spacer plates or spacer
rolls before pin assembly.

The convex surfaces of the
rolling pivot (7) and lock pivot
(8) must contact each other.
The roof-shaped surfaces of
the rolling pivot (7) must face
the wider surface of the lock
pivot (8).
