Performance specifications

The inverted tooth chain drive is used as a
parts
or to
transport
Typical application areas for inverted tooth drive chains are:
• interlocking transfer of drive force from one drive wheel to one
or more other drive wheels,
• use as an inner our outer toothed ring. For this use, a pinion
engages with the inverted tooth chain, similar to a spur gear.
An inverted tooth drive chain with special plates (optional
accessory) can perform additional functions, e.g. transmit thrust
forces.
A typical application area for inverted tooth conveyor chains is
• non-positive transport of goods.
An inverted tooth conveyor chain with special plates (optional
accessory) can perform additional functions.

Limitation of use

All inverted tooth drive and conveyor chains with a rolling
pivot joint are relatively stiff-spined and therefore must not be
bent over backwards by force.
The following bending radii are permissable for
drive
chains, depending on pitch and version:

You must use the toothed chain type BIZ (Biflex) for counter-
running drive shafts and S-shaped wraps. The limitations of use
for sprockets apply to this type.
