Clean system with cleaning solution
24.5.1
Device without 3-way valve
•
Make about 400 ml of 0.5% sodium hypochlorite cleaning solution.
•
Take off the supply hose from the physiological saline solution container and connect it to the cleaning solution
container.
•
Rinse and fill the system with cleaning solution using the clean program; see the chapter on "Rinsing the system
with the clean program".
Also carry out the filling of the system with cleaning solution.
•
Take off the supply hose from the cleaning solution container and connect it to a container which is filled with
distilled water.
•
Rinse the system with distilled water using the clean program; see the paragraph on "Rinsing the system" in the
chapter on "Rinsing the system with the clean program".
•
Take off the supply hose from the distilled water container and connect it again to the physiological saline
solution container.
•
Fill the system with physiological saline solution using the clean program; see the paragraph on "Filling the
system" in the chapter on "Rinsing the system with the clean program".
•
Dry the centrifugal area and rotor.
•
Adjust the filling volume (see the "Adjusting the filling volume" chapter).
24.5.2
Device with 3-way valve:
•
Make about 400 ml of 0.5% sodium hypochlorite cleaning solution.
•
Take off the supply hose from the distilled water container and connect it to the cleaning solution container.
•
Turn the 3-way valve to the "H
chapter on the "3-way valve".
•
Rinse and fill the system with cleaning solution using the clean program; see the chapter on "Rinsing the system
with the clean program".
Also carry out the filling of the system with cleaning solution.
•
Take off the supply hose from the cleaning solution container and connect it again to the distilled water
container.
•
Rinse the system with distilled water using the clean program; see the paragraph on "Rinsing the system" in the
chapter on "Rinsing the system with the clean program".
•
Turn the 3-way valve to the "NaCl" position so that the system is connected to the physiological saline solution;
see the chapter on the "3-way valve".

Removal of the drain gutter
The drain gutter and the covering ring can be removed from the centrifugation area for cleaning.
See illustrations on page 2.
Removal of the grain gutter and the covering ring:
•
Remove the covering ring (Fig. 3, c) from the centrifugation area.
•
Carefully flap the inner sealing ring (Fig. 3, a) upwards and remove the drain gutter (Fig. 3, b) out of the
centrifugation area.
Insertion of the drain gutter and covering ring:
•
At the back of the centrifugation area carefully flap the sealing ring (Fig. 4, a) upwards and push the drain gutter
(Fig. 4, b) under the sealing ring (Fig. 4, a) refer to Fig. 4.
The drain hole of the drain gutter (Fig. 4, b) must be located above the drain hole (Fig. 4, c) in the centrifugation
area.
•
Carefully flap the sealing ring (Fig. 4, a) upwards around the drain gutter on the inside and press the drain gutter
(Fig. 4, b) downwards. The drain gutter (Fig. 3, b) must be located below the sealing ring (Fig. 3, a), refer to Fig.
3.
•
Place the covering ring (Fig. 3, c) on the drain gutter in such a way (Fig. 3, b) that the inscription " this side up "
can be read, refer to Fig. 3.
