Loading the rotor

•
The rotors and hangers may only be loaded symmetrically. For authorised combinations see Chapter
"Anhang/Appendix, Rotoren und Zubehör/Rotors and accessories".
In order to avoid that the physiological salt solution of the non-occupied rotor positions is sprayed into the
centrifugation area during centrifugation, all rotor positions should always be loaded with centrifugation
containers.
•
The maximum filling quantity for the centrifuge containers specified by the manufacturer must not be exceeded.
•
The maximum loading weight is stated on every rotor. This weight may not be exceeded. The weight specified
for the maximum loading includes the total weight of centrifuging container and content.
•
Due to cleaning reasons centrifugation containers made of plastic may only be used for a single application. With
multiple use of these centrifugation containers the user is responsible for the suitable cleaning and sterilization. If
centrifugation containers have to be used several times then centrifugation containers made of glass should be
used.

13.1

Control panel symbols

Unbalance display. The unbalance display lights up if the permissible weight difference within the rotor
loading has been exceeded.
Rotation display. The rotation display lights up during the centrifugation run as long as the rotor is turning.
Lid display. The lid display lights up if the lid is closed and locked. During the centrifugation run the lid
display is extinguished.
Operating errors or any occurring disturbances are symbolised in the display (see Chapter "Faults").

Control panel buttons

•
Button for selecting the individual parameter.
Every time the button is pressed, the subsequent parameter is selected.
•
The value of a previously selected parameter is raised or lowered by pressing the arrow buttons. The
value can be raised or lowered more quickly if the arrow button is held down.
•
Calling up program.
Every time the button is pressed, the subsequent program is displayed (1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - Spin (S) -
Clean Program)
•
Starts the washing procedure, the production of the suspension and the cleaning program (Clean
START
WASH
Program). The rotation indicator
•
Adopts entries and changes.
•
Starts the centrifugation run for the acceleration of the agglutination reaction and the centrifugation run
SPIN
with the Spin centrifugation program. The rotation indicator
•
Terminates the washing procedure, the production of the suspension, the centrifugation run for the
STOP
acceleration of the agglutination reaction, the centrifugation run with the Spin centrifugation program
and the cleaning program (Clean Program).
The rotor finishes with a fixed braking level. The LED in the button is lit until the rotor comes to a
standstill.
•
Pressing the button twice activates the EMERGENCY STOP.
•
Exits the parameter input and saves the settings of the global parameters.
•
Exits the parameter input without saving the settings of the parameters for the programs 1 to 5.
•
During the filling volume calibration terminate the injection of the saline solution.
•
Activates the adjustment of the filling volume of saline solution.
SALINE
The button is only activated when the lid is opened. The LED in the button lights up as the saline
solution is injected.
•
Refills the system with saline solution during the sequence of the cleaning program (Clean Program).
•
Interrupts the washing procedure or the production of the suspension.
CHECK
•
Starts the injection of saline solution whilst adjusting the filling volume.
