8.2.2.7.6 Teaching-in switching points
You can also teach-in the switching points, as described by the Smart Sensors Profile.
The menu includes the "Teach" subitem for the purpose.
First select which switching signal channel you want to teach-in. "Teach select" SSC.1
is switching signal channel 1; SSC.2 switching signal channel 2. "All SSC" means both
switching channels are to be taught-in.
First set the desired switching force. You can then define the switching points with the
forces currently being measured by choosing "Teach SP1" or "Teach SP2" in the
"Teach - Single Value" menu.
With the Single Point method, you can only teach-in SP1; the hysteresis is entered
(see above). SP2 is meaningless.
In Two Point or Window mode, both switching points must be taught-in for correct opera
tion. You can enter a hysteresis (Window) for range monitoring (see above). The amount
of hysteresis is identical for both switching points.
Entries are made in the "Switching Channels" menu item.
