F output is the measurement result calculated and corrected by the electronics. The coef
ficients R, S, and T are the results of an approximation of the characteristic curve, as
determined by the calibration.
When you open the menu, two submenus appear:
Adjustment Coefficients Compressive Force Enter the coefficients of the compensation
polynomial for compressive forces here: Compressive Force Cubic factor (R), Compres
sive Force Quad Factor (S), Compressive Force Linear factor (T)
Adjustment Coefficients Tensile Force Enter the coefficients of the compensation polyno
mial for tensile forces here: Tensile Force Cubic factor (R), Tensile Force Quad Factor (S),
Tensile Force Linear factor (T).
Tip
The designations are in accordance with the calibration certificate as per ISO 376. If you
have such a certificate (or one calibration certificate for the compressive force range and
one for the tensile force range), you can simply copy the coefficients from the calibration
certificates. If you have HBK perform the calibration, HBK will enter the coefficients for
you.
If you are using a quadratic approximation, set R to zero. If you are using a linear approxi
mation, set R and S to zero. The calibration certificate must have tared values, i.e. the
function must not contain any constant.
