4 GENERAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
The force transducers are suitable for measuring tensile and compressive forces.
They provide highly accurate static and dynamic force measurements and must therefore
be handled very carefully. Particular care must be taken when transporting and installing
the devices. Dropping or knocking the transducer may cause permanent damage.
The U10M force transducers have a metric central thread.
The permissible limits for mechanical, thermal, and electrical stresses are listed in the
section "Specifications (VDI/VDE 2638)" on page 65. It is essential to take these limits
into account when planning the measuring setup, during installation and, ultimately, dur­
ing operation.
