(2) Setting the sampling frequency mode
In the word sync mode and digital audio data sync mode, signals with the same frequency as the playback or
recording sampling frequency must be input.
In the following cases, the external sync indicator flashes and the deck is automatically set to the internal mode.
© When the sync signal at a sampling frequency which differs from the sampling frequency switch setting
has been supplied while analog input signals are being recorded.
¢ When the sync signal at a sampling frequency which differs from the sampling frequency of the signal
recorded on the tape has been supplied during playback.
When connecting with the external sync signal:
When connections and settings are performed so that a device connected to the main unit and operated using
external synchronization is used as the master and so that the main unit is operated using external synchroni-
zation from that device, the main/sub clock signals of the two units will stand in a relationship that will cause
looping to occur with the result that normal operation will be disabled.
