Description of High-Precision Post-Recording Editing
Besides the conventional tape editing (post-recording) which uses sub codes, the SV-4100 offers a tape editing
function which, after the playback start position has been set in the quick start trim mode, enables such sub codes
as the Start ID and Skip ID to be recorded at that position accurately in frame increments.
If the tape (with the absolute time recorded) is renumbered after tape editing, the StartIDs and program numbers
can be re-assigned accurately at the same position where the Start ID's were recorded.
Method of Operation
Selecting the sub codes to be recorded
(1) Selecting on the tape position for recording
Using the trim function and rehearsal playback in the quick start trim mode, select the tape position (in frame
increments) where the sub codes are to be recorded. (Refer to the section on the quick start function for details
on the procedure.)
(2) Selecting the subcodes to be recorded

If the START ID or SKIP ID button is pressed again while the indicator is flashing, the ID selection is canceled.
Starting the subcode recording
Press the ID WRITE button.
After the selected sub code has been written at the position set on the tape, operation stops.
The indicator of the selected sub code (Start ID or Skip ID) turns off.
To release the high-precision post-recording editing mode:
Press the STOP button. The editing mode is released and operation stops.
