10 External control with Robotino View
Proceed as follows to control your Robotino 4.0 externally using the Robotino View graphical programming
environment.
1. Installation
Run the current setup file for Robotino View. You require administrator permissions to install it. Visit the
Festo Didactic website to download the current setup file. Enter "Festo Didactic Robotino View" in the
search bar.
2. Connecting to the network

WLAN
Connect your desktop computer or laptop to your Robotino 4.0 via the WLAN network.

Ethernet cable
Connect the Robotino 4.0 to your PC using the Ethernet cable.
Go to the Windows Control Panel and open the "Network and Sharing Center."
Click "Change adapter settings." Right-click the "Local Area Connection" and select "Properties."
Select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click "Properties."
Enter the IP address 192.168.0.10. Choose "OK" to confirm.
3. Starting Robotino View
Start Robotino View.
4. Connecting Robotino View
Enter the currently valid IP address in the input field for the IP address of Robotino 4.0.
The default IP address of Robotino is 192.168.0.1
Press the Enter key or click on the buttons with the antenna symbol directly to the left of the input field
to establish the connection.
Once the connection has been established successfully, the button and the input field are disabled and
the connection quality is displayed by the antenna symbol next to the input field of the IP address.
Three bars indicate the highest connection quality.
