Hot modules
Danger of burns from hot parts
•
Do not install optional electronic modules unless the device has cooled down
•
Carry out work on electronic modules only at a workstation with electrostatic
discharge protection. Use tools with suitable ESD protection
Electrostatic discharge
Unexpected behavior by the robot
•
Operation should be on a conductive base
•
Avoid static charge buildup by wearing suitable shoes and clothing
Ground the Robotino 4.0 housing ("command bridge") before opening it. Remove the
housing without touching any electrical components and watch out for electrostatic
discharge.
Irreparable damage to the device from short-circuit
Device has housing openings for cooling. Make sure that no electrically conductive
parts penetrate, e.g. by cutting off wire ends.
Irreparable damage from incorrect operating voltage
Observe the voltage range of external devices.
•
Compare the supply voltage with the voltage provided.
•
Pay attention to the current consumption values of the external device
•
Observe the polarity
•
Ensure that the connector cable is routed without crushing, shearing, cutting or
other mechanical hazards.
•
Secure the connector cable adequately
