Removing or replacing the headboard

To remove the headboard, grasp the handles and lift the headboard straight up and off the product
(Figure 1-51 on
page
1-32).
To replace the headboard, align the plastic inserts on the bottom of the headboard with the slots at the head end of the
product, and then lower the headboard until it completely seats in the slots
(Figure 1-52 on page
1-32).

Installing the optional labor bar

The patient can use the labor bar to aid with various birthing positions, such as squatting or kneeling. The optional labor
bar is designed to support a 250 lb load.
To install the labor bar, insert the ends of the labor bar into the sockets that are located at the pivot point on top of the
footrest abductors
(Figure 1-53 on page
1-32).
