WARNING
• Do not clean, service, or perform maintenance while the product is in use.
• When large spills occur in the area of the circuit boards, 120VAC cables, and motors, always immediately unplug
the power cord from the wall outlet. Remove the patient from the product, clean up the fluid, and have service
personnel completely inspect the product. Fluids can cause unpredictable operation and decreased functionality of
any electrical product. Do not return the product to service until it is completely dry and has been thoroughly tested
for safe operation.
CAUTION
• Always unplug the product before cleaning or servicing.
• Always unplug the product, set the brakes, and place blocks under the litter frame for support when working under
the Birthing Bed.
The recommended cleaners for this product's surfaces include the following:
• Quaternary Cleaners (active ingredient - ammonium chloride) that contain less than 3% glycol ether
• Phenolic Cleaners (active ingredient - o-phenylphenol)
• Chlorinated Bleach Solution (5.25% - less than 1 part bleach to 100 parts water)
• ≤ 21% propanol alcohol
Hand wash all surfaces of the product with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
Avoid oversaturation and make sure the product does not stay wet longer than the chemical manufacturer's guidelines
for proper disinfecting.
CAUTION
• Always make sure that you wipe each product with clean water and thoroughly dry each product after cleaning.
Some cleaning products are corrosive in nature and may cause damage to the product if you use them improperly.
If you do not properly rinse and dry the product, a corrosive residue may be left on the surface of the product that
could cause premature corrosion of critical components. Failure to follow these cleaning instructions may void your
warranty.
• Do not steam clean, pressure wash, ultrasonically clean, or immerse any part of the product in water. Exposure to
water may damage the internal electric parts. These methods of cleaning are not recommended and may void this
product's warranty.

Cleaning the mattress

For mattress cleaning and disinfecting, use warm water and a neutral detergent. You can also use a sodium
hypochlorite solution for cleaning. If you use a chlorinated bleach solution (5.25%), dilute the solution to less than 2
parts bleach to 100 parts water.
WARNING
Always completely dry the mattress after cleaning. Failure to thoroughly rinse and dry mattresses after cleaning may
cause damage to the mattress and may void this product's warranty.
CAUTION
Inspect the mattress cover after each use. Openings in the mattress cover may allow fluids to enter the mattress.
Discontinue using the mattress and safely dispose the mattress if any rips or cracks are found in the mattress cover.
