Positioning the labor grips

WARNING
Always keep hands clear of potential pinch points while positioning the labor grips.
Labor grips offer the patient a point of leverage while in the Birthing Bed.
To raise the labor grips, pull the labeled lever forward and rotate the grip out and above the seat section until the labor
grip locks into place

To lower the labor grips, pull the labeled lever forward to unlock the labor grip and then rotate the grip in and below the
seat section until the labor grip locks into place

Adjusting the optional Skoocher system

Skoocher is a powered system that shifts the perineal edge toward the operator.
You can adjust the seat depth from 12.5 in. to 8.5 in. to accommodate patients of different sizes or to bring the patient
closer to or farther from the operator. When the fowler is lowered, the seat depth will automatically adjust to 12.5 in.
To adjust the Skoocher:
1.
Raise the fowler to a minimum of 35°.
Note: When the fowler is elevated to 35° or greater, the Skoocher LED will illuminate on the siderail to indicate that
Skoocher is active.
2.
To move the patient toward the perineal edge and the operator
button to move the fowler toward the foot end of the product (see
34).
3.
To move the patient away from the perineal edge and the operator
Out button to move the fowler toward the head end of the product (see
page
1-34).
