• PGD1: Press and hold the
simultaneously for 6 seconds.
• PLDPRO: Press and hold the
simultaneously for 6 seconds.
2. Press the enter button.
The Display address setting screen is displayed.
3. Scroll up or down to reach the address of the display per stage:
• Stage 1: 16
• Stage 2: 17
• Stage 3: 18
• Stage 4: 19
• Stage 5: 20
• Stage 6: 21
The message "Display address has been changed" is displayed, and then the display
goes blank.
4. Repeat the three-button push from step 1 to enter the configuration.
5. Press the enter button three times or until the next screen is displayed.
6. Follow the steps given below to select the address for Trm1 and Trm2 and select if it
is private or shared:
a) Press the enter button once to enter the address of Trm1, and then scroll up or
down to select the appropriate address (for addresses, see step 2).
b) Press the enter button.
The cursor under Priv/Shared flashes.
c) Scroll up or down to select Pr, then press the enter button.
The cursor is next to Trm2.
d) Scroll up or down to select 32, then press the enter button.
e) Scroll up or down to select Sh, then press the enter button.
f) Press the enter button two more times.
The cursor is next to Ok?No.
g) Scroll to select Yes, then press the enter button.
7. Connect all stages together with the network cable.
The data for all of the stages is displayed on the main screen.
8. If using a single common display or remote display, configure it as address 32.

Startup
The Chiller controller can be operated as a single or a multistage chiller plant. During
initial setup, the system is configured for the number of stages and the available options.
Select between Return water or Supply water control.
Select metric values or imperial values displayed.
Chilled water setpoint is entered for Cool and Heat mode. Once enabled, CW and
SW pumps are turned on for operation.

Operational checks
Once the PLC is enabled the system conducts pre-startup checks. The PLC program
checks all CW flow switches for faults. The PLC also checks HP and LP switches for
faults.
NOTE Individual stage faults will only disable that stage.
9 Operation
9.1
Navigating the LCD display
PGD1 display
PLDPRO display
The screens show the status of the system. The information displayed depends on if
the system is a single or multistage configuration. The screen order and menu options
depend on which features are enabled.

Alarm
This control flashes red if there is an active alarm. Pressing
the alarm button opens the active alarm screen. Pressing
and holding the alarm button for 3 seconds clears the ac-
tive alarm if the fault has been corrected.

Program
This button displays the system menus.

Escape
This button exits the screen and displays the earlier
screen. Pressing the escape button several times displays
the main menu. After 3 minutes of screen inactivity the
screen will automatically return to the main status screen.

Scroll up and
These buttons are used to step through menu options,

change values in fields such as setpoints, and navigate
from screen to screen when the flashing cursor is in the up-
per-le corner of the screen.

Enter
This button confirms menu option selections. Pressing this
button repeatedly moves the cursor to the upper-le cor-
ner of the screen.
9.2
Operational modes
The main operational modes decide whether the device generates heat or cooling: cool
mode, heat mode, and electric heat mode. Pump operation is coordinated with these
modes.

Pump operation
The pump modes adjust as required by the system operating mode.
