Apply the two pins Ø5 on the reduction gearbox (Fig. 26,
pos. ). Pre-assemble the bearing on the pinion and
insert it fully into its seat in the reduction gearbox with a
hammer (Fig. 27).

The bearings and crown wheel can be mounted cold.
The fitting operation could be facilitated by heating the
parts involved at a temperature between 120° and 150 °C
(250° - 300 °F), making sure that the ring nuts are fully fitted in
their respective seats.

Insert the O-ring into the reduction gearbox seat (Fig. 28).

Fit the cover onto the pinion bearing using two M8 grub
screws or screws to hold it in position during assembly
(Fig. 29, pos. ).

Mount the reduction gearbox cover by pressing a
buffer on the face of the cover or using the special tool
code 27517400 (Fig. 30).

Make this easier by simultaneously screwing in some fixing
screws (Fig. 29, pos. ).
