The filling level of the frying oil must be
between the MIN and MAX 9 markings
on the inside of the oil tank 8.
Only oils that are suitable for frying
should be used (see "The basics of fry-
ing" on page 9).
4. Fill approx. 2.5 litres (MIN) to 3.5 litres
(MAX) of frying oil into the oil tank 8.
5. Put on the lid 4.
6. Move the slider 17 to the left
position.
7. Place the lid 24 firmly on the oil storage
container 21. The screw cap 22 must
be tightly closed.
8. Slide the oil storage container 21 into
the compartment 19.
9. Move the slider 17 to the mid-
dle position.

Heating up the frying
oil

1. Make sure that the on/off switch O/I 12
is set to O and the temperature control-

ler 30 is set to MIN.
2. Insert the mains plug 13 into an easily
accessible earthed wall socket whose
voltage matches the voltage stated on
the rating plate.
3. Switch the on/off switch O/I 12 to I to
switch on the device. The control light in
the on/off switch O/I is lit.
4. Set the desired temperature by using the
temperature control 30 (see "Frying time
and frying temperature" on page 9).
- The red temperature control light
lights up during heating 28.
- The green temperature control
light 29 will be lit when the set tem-
perature is reached.
NOTE: we recommend heating up the fry-
ing oil for approx. 10 to 15 minutes in order
to ensure that it is heated evenly.
The temperature information can be found
on the packaging of the food or in the frying
table (see "Frying table" on page 9).
NOTES:
• The temperature specifications are ap-
proximate values. The temperature may
vary depending on the texture, size,
and quantity of the food, as well as
your taste.
• Only place the frying basket 6 into the
deep fryer 15 when you want to place
the food into the hot oil for frying.
