Overheating protection
DANGER of burns!
Allow the deep fryer 15 to cool to room
temperature before moving it.
The deep fryer is equipped with an overheat-
ing protection, which automatically switches
the device off in the event of overheating.
In this case, both RESET buttons 33/35 on
the back of the electrical unit 10 may pop out
or only one of them. (This depends on how the
overheating protection was triggered.) In any
case, both RESET buttons 33/35 must be
pressed in completely so that the device can be
switched on again.
1. Turn the temperature control 30 to MIN
and pull the mains plug 13.
2. Allow the device to cool down to room
temperature.
3. Figure B: push both RESET but-
tons 33/35 on the back of the electrical
unit 10 all the way back in.
4. Wait a few minutes before you plug the
mains plug 13 back into the mains and
set the desired temperature.
10. Cleaning and storage
DANGER of burns!
Allow the device to cool down, at least
until the green oil cleaning control
light 27 is lit, before draining the frying
oil into the oil storage container 21 or
moving, emptying or cleaning the de-
vice.
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
Pull out the mains plug 13 from the wall
socket before cleaning the deep fry-
er 15.
WARNING Risk of material damage!
Do not clean using sharp objects or
abrasive cleaning agents.
10.1 Filtering and storage of
frying oil
NOTE: after frying, you can also switch off
the device and unplug the mains plug 13
and perform the oil cleaning later (after at
least 4 hours).
1. When the green oil cleaning control
light 27 is lit, turn the O/I 12 on/off
switch to O to turn the device off. The
control light in the on/off switch O/I goes
out.
2. Pull the mains plug 13 out of the wall
socket.
3. Remove the lid 4.
4. The quality of the frying oil should be
checked after each frying process (see
"The basics of frying" on page 9).
- If the quality is still good, you can
store the oil.
- If the oil is of poor quality, it must be
disposed of. To facilitate pouring, you
can first drain the oil into the oil stor-
age container 21.
