After the device has been cleaned (by spraying with water, particularly with high-pressure washers), all bearings
need to be re-lubricated. The scarifier should be allowed to run for 1 or 2 minutes so that any water that has
entered the device can run back out again.
-
The engine should only be cleaned with a cloth. As water could enter the ignition system, fuel system or
lubricating system and cause faults, powerful water jets should be avoided.
The following steps need to be performed if you do not
intend to use the scarifier for a longer period of time:
-
Clean and repair any damage to the paintwork
-
Lubricate all bearings and allow the scarifier to run
for 1 – 2 minutes.
-
Spray anti-corrosion oil onto the scarifier shaft, and
onto the chassis.
-
Please refer to the separate engine operating
instructions. It contains special notes on putting the
engine into storage that must be followed.
-
Drain the fuel, change the engine oil, lubricate the
piston chamber with oil, set the piston to TDC (top
dead centre) etc.
Do not tilt the scarifier forwards, backwards or sideways
when transporting, parking or storing it.
Store the scarifier in a dry room. We do not recommend
storing the scarifier in the same room as fertiliser, in
stables or in adjacent rooms.
The manufacturer guarantees that the device is free of faults and will bear the cost of remedying defects by replacing
faulty parts, provided the fault is due to material defects or manufacturing defects which occur within the warranty
period starting from the day on which the product is purchased. Please note that certain specific warranty terms
apply in some countries. If in any doubt, please consult your sales person. As the seller of the product, he or she is
responsible for the warranty.
Please accept that we cannot be held liable if the damage is due to:
• non-compliance with the operating manual
• failure to carry out required maintenance and cleaning work
• damage caused by inappropriate carburettor settings.
• wear caused by normal usage
• clear overloading of the machinery due to persistent exceeding of upper performance limits
• use of non-approved working tools
• use of force, inappropriate handling or treatment, misuse or accidental damage
• overheating damage due to contamination or clogging of the fan housing.
• interventions from non-qualified persons, or unprofessional attempts at repairs
• use of unsuitable replacement parts or non-genuine replacement parts in as much as they are responsible for
the damage
• use of unsuitable or expired fuel/oil/lubricants
• the special conditions under which machines are used in the tool hire trade.
Cleaning, maintenance and adjustment work is not recognised as a warranty service.
Any warranty work must only be performed by a specialist dealer who has been authorised by the manufacturer.

-
Keep anti-corrosion preservatives out of the reach of
children.

Note:
Tilting the machine could cause engine oil to run into
the combustion chamber. This could subsequently
cause starting difficulties and oil coking.
Risk of severe corrosion.
