Operation

Please pay special attention to
the safety information.
The handle can be moved into a
transport position or removed
altogether so that the scarifier
can be transported in a motor
vehicle or on a trailer.
Moving the handle into the
transport position:
- Fig. 1: Undo the central
fastener "1".
- Fig. 2: Fold the handle "2" over
the engine and re-tighten the
central fastener "1".
- Fig. 3: Lift the device by the
lower part of the handle "3"
and the handle "4".
- Fig. 3: Undo the knobs "5" on
the left and right and unclip the
electric cable and the Bowden
cable from the retainer "6".
- Fig. 4: Pull out the lower part of
the handle "3" from the
mounting, if necessary fold it at
the joint (see Fig. 1: fold the
central fastener "1) and place
the handle next to the device.
Preparation
Please pay special attention to
the safety information.
- Position the scarifier on level
and firm ground.
Insert the handle
- Fig. 5: Insert the handle "3"
into the mounting, if necessary
straighten the joint at the
central fastener "1" (see Fig.
7).
- Fig. 6: Tighten the knurled
screws "5" on the left and right
and insert the electric cable
and the Bowden cable in the
retainers "6"
Fig. 7: With the aid of the central
fastener "1", adjust the handle to
a position where you can reach
the grips with your arms
stretched out and bent slightly at
the elbow. Your forearms should
be horizontal. The upper part of
the handle does not need to form
a straight continuation of the
lower part (refer to the picture).
Notes
- Disconnect the
spark plug cap
- Check that the
tank closure is
fitted properly.
- Use appropriate
lashing
equipment to
secure the
scarifier.
Detach the lower
part of the handle
- Do not kink the
Bowden cable or
the electric cable
Notes
Position the
handle in a
comfortable and
ergonomical
position
Check that the
central fastener
"1" is securely
tightened.

Scarifying depth / 519-50:
Turn the key "8" until it
engages. Then proceed as
for model 519.

(Fig. 8): Use the infinitely
variable adjusting knob
"7" to select the required
working depth. Two
revolutions of the knob
correspond to a change in
height of the scarifier
shaft of around 2.0 mm.
Adjust the working depth
to suit the grass
conditions, but do not go
lower than 2-3 mm.
