In the event of a major concern over the operation of the scarifier, consult an authorised workshop and ask
them to perform any repairs that are required. Any unprofessional attempts at performing such repairs will
invalidate the warranty.

Troubleshooting and remedies

Remedy
Set the motor switch to the "ON"
position.
Open the fuel shutoff.
Close the choke lever.
Connect the spark plug cap
Clean or replace the spark plug.
Adjust the electrode gap to 0.7–0.8
mm.
Fill up with fuel.
Fill up with fresh fuel.
Pull the lever and hold it in that
position.
Clean or replace the air filter
Adjust the electrode gap to 0.7–0.8
mm.
Clean or replace the spark plug.
Firmly connect the spark plug cap to
the spark plug.
Securely tighten the spark plug cable
retainer.
Clean the coarse fuel filter
Clean or replace the air filter
Fill up with fresh fuel.
Adjust the electrode gap to 0.7–0.8
mm.
Clean or replace the air filter
Remove the foreign objects, inspect
the scarifier shaft for damage.
Adjust or replace the accelerator
Bowden cable
Clean the air gratings and the
cooling fins.
Top up the engine oil.
Clean or replace the air filter
Remove the foreign objects, inspect
the scarifier shaft for damage.
Fit a new V-belt.
Install a new centrifugal clutch.
Contact a specialist workshop.
Adjust the working depth of the
scarifier.
Install new tines.
