2.3.4
Central heating backup SP 2 (D)
Solar central heating backup with buffer or combi cylinder (
• Function equivalent to Central heating backup (A), but applies to
the 2nd cylinder. If the cylinder temperature exceeds the return
temperature of the heating system by the set switch-on temperature
differential, the cylinder is integrated into the return via the 3-way
valve.
2.3.5
Ext heat exchanger cyl 1 (E)
External heat exchanger for solar system at cylinder 1
• If the temperature at the heat exchanger exceeds the temperature of
cylinder 1, at the bottom, by the set switch-on temperature
differential, the cylinder primary pump is switched on. The frost
protection function for the heat exchanger is ensured.
2.3.6
Ext heat exchanger cyl 2 (F)
External heat exchanger for solar system at cylinder 2
• If the temperature at the heat exchanger exceeds the temperature of
cylinder 2, at the bottom, by the set switch-on temperature
differential, the cylinder primary pump will be activated. Frost
protection for the heat exchanger is ensured.
This function is only available If function Cylinder 2 with valve (B)
or Cylinder 2 with pump (C) has been added.
2.3.7
Collector array 2 (G)
2nd collector array (e.g. east/west orientation)
Function of both collector arrays according to solar thermal system 1;
however:
• If the temperature at 1st collector array exceeds the temperature at
the bottom of cylinder 1 by the set switch-on temperature
differential, the left solar pump is activated.
• If the temperature at 2nd collector array exceeds the temperature at
the bottom of cylinder 1 by the set switch-on temperature
differential, the right solar pump is switched on.

2.3.8
CH backup mixed (H)
Solar central heating backup mixed at the buffer or combi cylinder (
• Only available if Central heating backup (A) or central heating
backup SP. 2 (D) is selected.
• Function such as Central heating backup (A) or central heating
backup SP 2 (D); additionally the the return temperature is regulated
to the specified flow temperature via the mixer.
2.3.9
Transfer system (I)
Transfer system with solar-heated pre-heating cylinder for DHW heating
• If the temperature of the preheating cylinder (1st cylinder left)
exceeds the temperature of the standby cylinder difference
(3rd cylinder right), then the cylinder primary pump is activated for
reloading.
2.3.10 Transfer system with HE (J)
Transfer system with buffer cylinder
• DHW cylinder with internal heat exchanger.
• If the temperature of the buffer cylinder (1st cylinder left) exceeds
the temperature of the set temperature of the IWS differential
(3rd cylinder right), then the cylinder primary pump is activated for
reloading.
2.3.11 Therm.dis./daily heat-up (K)
Thermal disinfection to prevent legionella and daily heating up of the
DHW cylinder/s
• The entire volume of hot water is heated up on a weekly basis for half
an hour to at least the temperature that has been set for thermal
disinfection.
• The entire volume of hot water is heated up on a daily basis to the
temperature that has been set for daily heat-up. This function is not
executed if the DHW has already reached the temperature within the
last 12 hours, as a result of solar heating.
In the solar system configuration, the illustration does not show that this
function was added. "K" is added to the designation of the solar system.
