fighter, with the exception of riding a motorbike.
All other applications are excluded.
The fire helmets protect the wearer's face and head against:
– Impacts
– Sharp objects
– Impact from solid objects
– Contact with liquids, corrosive chemical substances, and
molten metals
– Radiant heat
– Flames
– Contact with electric current

3.5.2 Marking of the visors
The marking is engraved into the visor and shown on a label.
It displays the following:

Use
4.1
Requirements for use
– The fire helmet must be used in accordance with the
NFPA 1500 and 29 CFR 1910.132, General Requirements
of Subpart I, Personal Protective Equipment.
– Check whether the helmet is suitable for the conditions
presented by the respective operation, as suitability must
be determined before the helmet is in use.
– The helmet must be clean and dry.
4.2
Preparation for use
To identify the helmet, write the name on the label inside the
helmet using a waterproof pen before first use.

The support ring must be adjusted to ensure the fire helmet is
a correct fit.
The harness and support ring must be adjusted to the head
size when in daily use.
WARNING
An incorrectly adjusted helmet can cause an injury.
The protective function of the fire helmet can only be achieved
when the fire helmet fits perfectly.
► Correctly adjust the harness and the support ring.
► Correctly secure all attachments to the fire helmet.
The following preparations are optional:
– Attach the lamp holder for the standard helmet lamp
– Attach the Dräger HPS BuddyLight
