3. Adjust the rear head padding and secure at the rear
support ring.
5.2.6 Replacing the function plate
Tools required:
– Torx screwdriver T15
– Torque screwdriver T15
Spare parts required:
– Extend function plate (3701634)
The screws on the front adjusting ring also secure the
function plates and the face-guard. If the screws on the front
adjusting ring are loosened, the function plates and the face-
guard will also be loose.
1. Loosen the screw for the front adjusting ring on the side
on which the function plate is to be replaced.
2. Remove the old function plate from the helmet shell.
3. Insert the new function plate into the helmet shell.
4. Press the function plate onto the helmet shell and place
the face-guard on the dome of the function plate between
the helmet shell and front adjusting ring.

5. Tighten the screw on the front adjusting ring (torque: 2 Nm
(1.48 lb-ft))
5.2.7 Replacing the front plate
Tools required:
– Torx screwdriver T8
– Torque screwdriver T8
Spare parts required:
– Front plate (3724503)
As the front plate is inserted into the helmet shell with
tension, it will generally break when removed from the helmet
shell.
1. Loosen the screw for the cover using the Torx screwdriver
and remove the cover.
2. Loosen the front plate at the edge of the helmet and
remove from the helmet shell with small rotating
movements.
