2.1. General
Follow these instructions, as well as instructions from
the compatible components and hospital-internal regu-
lations for infection prevention, safe use, cleaning and
sterilization.
• All components should be carefully checked for com-
patibility and integrity prior to use. Do not use de-
fective instruments! If any defects occur, discard the
instrument and replace it with a new one.
• Never use the product outside the recommended
technical specifications (intended use).
• Never manipulate the structural conditions of the in-
strument, avoid kinks and other damage, immediate-
ly discontinue use in the event of a malfunction!
• It is absolutely necessary to wear protective clothing
(gloves, mouthguards, goggles, gown, etc.)!

Take appropriate measures to protect the patient
and yourself from contamination and injury. Follow

3.
Application
3.1. Preparation
The medical devices must be tested prior to use with
regard to the following aspects:
• Expiration Date.

• Undamaged packaging.
• Damage to the product (cracks on the tube, kinks,
deformations).
• Check products for correct surfaces, correct assem-
bly and functionality.
• Products that have not passed the functional test
must not be used as their sterility and product safety
are not guaranteed. Dispose of the products to be
complained about accordingly or return them to the
manufacturer.
3.1.1 Work Preparation & Testing
NOTE
Do not use products that have expired.
NOTE
If the packaging is damaged before use, replace
the instrument with a new one.
NOTE
If you notice any irregularities, replace the instru-
ment with a new one.
Using a defective instrument can cause damage
to the endoscope and result in injury to patients or
users.
3.2. Application
1. Unpack the teether.
2. Position the teether between the patient's upper
and lower jaw.
NOTE
Take care not to damage the teeth and tongue!
3. Place the fixation strap attached to the teether on
one side around the patient's head and attach it to
the opposite side of the teether by inserting the side
fixation strap bracket through one of the holes in
the tape.
NOTE
Make sure that the fuser belt is not too tight!
