100 x discs Ø 16mm (16)
3 Use of the device
3.1 Assembly of the handle
The lateral handle (1) is screwed in one of the lateral seats (2) at your
own convenience.
3.2 Selection of the electrodes
The ROSPOT is equipped with a range of electrodes which are appropriate for any kind of use.
3.2.1 Welding for extracting
Electrode for welding copper-plated nails with a diameter of 2-2.6 mm
which are used for pulling out preformed steel sheets using the helve
hammer. The electrode (1) is screwed on the tip of the welding
apparatus (2) using the key with wrench opening 10 (3). At this please
make sure that you do not tighten it too firmly in order to avoid
damages of the copper thread. Then insert the nail (4).
Electrode for discs
Electrode for the welding of discs in particular positions at which it
is not possible to use nails. For pulling out steel sheets where discs
are welded on it is necessary to use a disc pulling hook which is
fixed in the clamping chuck of the helve hammer.
It is necessary to use the main electrode together with the
electrode for discs in order to provide a higher contact mass
between the electrode support tube and the electrode for discs.
Screw the electrode for discs (1) on the electrode support of the
welding appliance (2).
Fix the main electrode (3). To do so, turn the click wheel (4) until the electrode is completely
seated on the electrode holder of the welding appliance (2). Then turn off the click wheel (4).
Insert the disc (5) into the seat of the electrode (1). A lateral magnet (6) makes sure that the disc
does not get out of place.
3.2.2 Welding for pulling out heating electrode
Electrode for heating up steel sheet parts with "local
heat places" for tempering those local heat places.
Use the main electrode together with the electrode in
order to create a larger contact mass between the
electrode support tube and the heating electrode.
Screw down the heating electrode (1) on the electrode
holder of the welding appliance (2) using the key with
wrench opening 10.
