In case of a damage of the supply cable NEVER try to repair the cable yourself since special
tools are required in order to replace them completely. Therefore, please return the defective
device to the nearest supplier in your region or directly to the company. Only use the device
under the conditions described in chapter 2.3 "Technical data".
Any maintenance interferences or repairs must only be performed by correspondingly
competent technicians. The device complies with all important appropriately applicable
standards. Therefore, any repairs must only be performed by authorized staff using original
spare parts.
Attention! The use of accessory parts which are not described in the present instructions may
result in dangerous situations.
Before using the device make sure that you have been perfectly informed about operation,
limits of use, accident prevention regulations and all properties of the device described in the
instructions.
Do not modify parts of the device in any case (such as connections, holes, finish, etc.) in order
to adapt to other appliances. In case of malfunctions which may be traced back to non-obser-
vance of these provisions Förch cannot be held liable for any consequences resulting hereof.
The company Förch GmbH cannot be held liable for possible damages on the machine or for
bodily injuries which are caused by the user due to non-observance of the provisions included
in the present instructions.
2 Information before commissioning
2.1 General description
The device ROSPOT is a projection welding machine which can be used for numerous functions
together with its accessory parts:
Straightening of housings or deformed steel sheets without having to remove internal parts
(doors, lids etc.)
- Welding of nails (pins) for extracting certain steel sheet parts.
- Welding of discs for extracting steel sheet parts in areas which are quite difficult to access.
Heating up steel sheet parts with "Heated parts"
Welding of rivets for protective seals (rubber buffers)
Welding of screws to fix housings, parts, etc. directly to the body
