b) Wireless camera
• Screw the short antenna to the corresponding socket on the back of the wireless camera. The antenna can be
adjusted to various angles to improve connectivity.
• Secure the bracket in place with suitable screws, and if necessary, dowels (depending on the mounting surface).
Ensure that no cables or wires are damaged when drilling holes or tightening screws.
Before fixing the mount in place, check that the transmission between the wireless camera and the monitor/
DVR is functioning correctly.
Environmental factors can reduce signal range and quality. Please refer to section 19 in these operating
instructions.
Select the installation location so it is protected against attempts to tamper with the camera. For this rea-
son, the wireless camera should be mounted at a minimum height of 2.5 m.
When installing the wireless camera outdoors, we recommend placing it in a location that is protected
against rain/spray water (e.g. under eaves), as water droplets/spray water on the front of the wireless
camera may lead to a distorted image.
• Orient the wireless camera lens to the desired surveillance area. Accurate adjustment can be done later when the
image of the wireless camera can be seen on the monitor/DVR.
The large union nut on the bracket enables to turn the spherical head of the bracket and thus align the
camera. Loosen the union nut by hand and adjust the alignment; after setting the correct position, tighten
it again by hand.
• Lay the mains adapter cable in a suitable cable duct or the like. The power connector is moisture-proof. However,
it must not be placed in or under water. We recommend that it is used in a place where it is not directly exposed
to precipitation.
If you want to pass the connection cable through a wall, protect the plug from dust and dirt (e.g. using a small
plastic bag).
Make sure the housing with the microphone (26) inside is installed in a suitable place. Align the microphone
openings so that they point in the direction of the camera's surveillance area. Secure the housing/cable e.g.
with cable fasteners.
There is a small square button (22) on the other side of the housing. It is used to connect the wireless
camera to the monitor/DVR ("pairing"). Make sure that this button is not pressed accidentally. Leave some
distance between the housing/button and the mounting surface.
• Insert the low-voltage round plug of the second mains adapter (output voltage 5 V/DC, output current 1000 mA, see
type plate) into the corresponding round socket of the wireless camera. The low-voltage round plug of the camera
mains adapter is slightly smaller than that of the other mains adapter.
The mains adapter is only intended for use in dry indoor locations. It must never get damp or wet; danger
of a fatal electric shock!
• The wireless camera is now ready for use.
