Network connection is not possible
• Check the monitor/DVR network settings, as described in section 14. c).
• If necessary, consult your network administrator.
• Typical home networks have IP address assigned automatically ("Dynamic IP"); corporate networks, on the other
hand, have a fixed IP address assigned to each device (which can only be assigned to a single device).
• Check the network cable or the connector for damage.
• Check your router network settings.

19. Range

The radio signal transmission range between the wireless camera and the monitor/DVR is up to 150 metres under
optimal conditions.
This transmission range data refers to the so-called "free-field range". However, the ideal arrangement (e.g. monitor/
DVR and wireless camera on a smooth, level meadow without trees, houses, etc.) is not possible in practice.
In most scenarios, the monitor/DVR is placed indoors, and the wireless camera is mounted on a carport, staircase, or
other area that requires surveillance.
Different objects have a different impact on the range, therefore no specific range can be guaranteed. The range
should, however, be sufficient for use in a detached house.
If the monitor/DVR does not obtain a signal from the wireless camera, move the monitor/DVR and wireless camera
closer together or reorient the antenna.
Optimal arrangement is when the antennas are parallel to each other. The range is significantly reduced when the tips
of the antennas are aimed at each other.
The transmission range can be considerably reduced by:
• Walls and reinforced concrete ceilings
• Coated/double-glazed windows, aluminium windows etc.
• Trees, bushes, soil and rocks
• Proximity to metal and conducting objects (e.g. radiators and steel doors)
• Proximity to human bodies
• Broadband interferences, e.g. in residential areas (routers, Wi-Fi devices, mobile phones, wireless headphones
etc.)
• Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power supply units and monitors
• Proximity to mains sockets and network cables
• Proximity to poorly shielded or uncovered computers or other electrical appliances
