Troubleshooting Chart
Possible Cause
Mains voltage too high (≥15%)
Mains voltage too low (≤15%)
Bad unit ventilation leads
to overheat protection
Current temperature too high
Over rated duty-cycle used
Potentiometer is not working properly
Nozzle blocked up
Feed roller loosen
Switch broken
Fan broken
Wire broken or falling off
Too large contact tip makes the current
unsteady
Too thin gauge power cable
makes the power supply unsteady
Input voltage too low
Wire feeding resistance is too large
Earth cable connection not established
The workpiece is dirty, rusty or stained
Torch is not well connected
Gas pipe is squeezed or blocked up
Gas hose fittings not tightened enough
Technical Data
Solutions
Switch off the welder; Check the mains supply; Turn on welder when power
restores to normal state.
Improve ventilation conditions.
Welder automatically recovers when the temperature falls down.
Change the potentiometer.
Change the nozzle.
Tide up the bolts.
Replace the switch.
Replace or repair the fan.
Check the connection.
Change (provide the proper) contact tip or roller.
Change the power cable.
Enhance the input voltage.
Clean or replace the liner and the torch cable to have better in line direction.
Connect the earth cable properly.
Clean greasy, dirty or rusty stains.
Connect the torch properly.
Check gas supply system.
Refit gas hose and tighten all couplers properly.
