3 Product description
The APAS test device CT-H (APAS test device for short) is a test device
for performing an acceptance or verifi cation of safety functions in which
the sensor skin is used. In particular, it is intended for the following
two applications:
• Determination of static triggering distances of capacitive sensor
systems using foam spacers. In doing so, the APAS test device is held in
the hand.
• Determination of the residual distances between APAS test device
and robot after triggering the sensor skin and stopping the robot.
The APAS test device is operated stationary.
For stationary operation on a stand, the APAS test device is equipped
with a fl ange for the Bosch BT 150 Professional construction
stand (order no. 0 601 096 B00) and with a universal stand thread
(UNC 1/4 inch).
The APAS test device simulates the behavior of a human hand in
the effective range of the sensor skin. For this purpose, the sheet is
shaped in the form of an abstracted hand and capacitively coupled to
ground according to the electrostatic human body model. By connecting
the APAS test device with the evaluation unit of the sensor skin
called SSKU (Sensor Skin Unit) and the LEDs located in the handle,
the visualization of the two-channel sensor skin triggering is realized
directly on the handle, eliminating the need to check the status displays
in the control cabinet.
