SAFETY WARNINGS

The following precautionary warnings are
used throughout this manual in order to
convey the following messages:
Safety warning. When you find
this symbol on the vehicle or in
the manual, be careful of the potential
risk of personal injury. Non-compliance
w i t h t h e i n d i c a t i on s g i v e n i n t h e
messages preceded by this symbol may
result in grave risks for you, other's
safety and the vehicle itself!
Indicates a potential hazard which may
result in serious injury or even death.
Indicates a potential hazard which may
result in personal injury or damage to
the vehicle or other property.
NOTE
The word "NOTE" in this manual
p r e c e d e s i m p o r t a n t i n f o r m a t i o n o r
instructions.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES

CARBON MONOXIDE

If it is necessary to let the engine run in
order to perform work, make sure that the
area in which you are operating is properly
ventilated. Never run the engine in
enclosed spaces.
If it is necessary to work indoors, use an
exhaust evacuation system.
The exhaust fumes contain carbon
monoxide, a poisonous gas that can
cause loss of consciousness and even
death.
GASOLINE
K e e p g a s o l i n e a w a y f r o m c h i l d r e n .
Gasoline is also poisonous. Never attempt
to siphon gasoline using your mouth.
Never allow gasoline to come in contact
with your skin. If you should accidentally
spill gasoline on yourself, change your
clothes immediately and wash the area
w h e r e t h e g a s o l i n e w a s s p l a s h e d
thoroughly with soap and warm water.
Should you accidentally swallow gasoline,
do not induce vomiting.
Drink large quantities of clear water or milk
and immediately seek professional medical
assistance. Should you accidentally get
gasoline into your eyes, flush with large
q u a n t i t i e s o f c o o l , c l e a r w a t e r a n d
immediately seek professional medical
assistance.
Gasoline is extremely flammable and
b e c o m e s e x p l o s i v e u n d e r c e r t a i n
conditions. KEEP GASOLIN E AWAY
FROM CHILDREN.
Misfire phenomena may occur at more
than 1000 meters above sea level.
Do not use at more than 1500 meters
above sea level and/or with external
temperature lower than -10 °C because
starting problems may occur.

HOT COMPONENTS

The engine and all parts of the exhaust
system, as well as the braking system,
become very hot and remain so for some
time after the vehicle and the engine are
stopped. Before handling any component of
your vehicle after riding, make sure that it
has cooled sufficiently to be safe to handle.
